Tata which is among the most popular automobile brands in India will be launching a new variant of Tata Indica car. The Tata Indica Vista Ignis will be launched in the Indian market in August 2010. The car has a smart design and is loaded with rich features. The car with its new engine is expected to deliver good performance.

As per the Tata Indica Vista Ignis review the car will be equipped with a 1.4L DOHC Fire engine with 16 valves. This petrol engine will be able to deliver power of 94 bhp at 6000 rpm along with peak torque of 115 Nm at 4500 rpm. The length of the car is 3795mm and its width is 1695mm while its height is 1550mm.

The car can seat 5 individuals and the car has power steering. The car has independent McPherson Strut suspension for the front while the rear has semi independent coil. The car has 5 manual gears and its ground clearance is 165mm. The car has kerb weight of 1245 kgs and its fuel tank limit is 37 litres.

The car is expected to deliver mileage of 11 km/litre in the city while the mileage on the highway is expected to be around 14 km/litre.

The interiors of the car are quite spacious and the Vista Ignis is longer and wider compared to the previous Indica. The driver’s seat as well as steering wheel can be adjusted and the speedometer is centrally mounted. The seating arrangement is ergonomically designed and is rather comfortable with plenty of space. The car has integrated CD player with remote control and USB port.

The earlier variations of Tata Indica Vista were a big disappointment as far as safety aspects were concerned. The Tata Indica Vista Ignis has incorporated several safety features and these include dual SRS airbags, antilock brake system and electronic brake force distribution feature.

The price of the car is expected to be around Rs 6 lakhs and the car will be available in a single design variation.

The colors in which the car will be available in the country are not known as yet.
