The Peugeot 3008 is a crossover launched by the company. This car is longer than Peugeot 308 and shorter than SW version. This combination of two designs offers the best of both and has a sporty attitude. The car will be available in the Indian market in October 2010 and will be launched to compete with Volkswagen Golf Plus and Nissan Qashqai.

The 3008 crossover will be equipped with 1598cc, VTI petrol engine as per the Peugeot 3008 review. The engine will be able to deliver power of 120 bhp at 6000 rpm along with peak torque of 160 Nm at 4250 rpm. The length of the car is 4365mm and its width is 1836mm while its height is 1639mm. The car can seat 5 individuals.

The car has independent with McPherson type struts and its turning circle is 9.80 metres. The boot space of the car is 512 litres and the car has power steering. The car has front ventilated with rear disk brake system. The engine comes with 5 manual gears and the car has fuel tank capacity of 60 litres.

The mileage of the car is 9 km/litre in the city while the mileage on the highway is around 11 km/litre.

The Peugeot 3008 crossover actually has wraparound cockpit and a broad console separates the driver from the front passenger. This console has high level gear shift, cup holders and electronic parking brake. The controls are laid out logically and in a simple manner. The audio as well as navigation controls have beautiful chrome trims. The interiors offer excellent leg as well as shoulder room. The car has air conditioner and comes with climate control feature. The driver’s seat can be electrically adjusted and the car has clarion MP3 along with 6 speakers. The car also has rake steering adjustment and leather seats.

The safety features in the car include airbags, fog lamp, parking sensors, antilock brake system, electronic stability program and electronic brake force distribution feature.

The price of the car is around Rs 16 lakhs and the car will be available in a single design variation.

The colors in which the car will be available are not known as yet.
